In this article, we would like to tell you about a negative incident which we had in the past. If you’re like me, you have probably heard that drinking water from copper or glass bottles is good for your health. Drinking water in the morning on an empty stomach is common practice for many of us who use copper or glass bottles to store water during the night.
A few days ago, we had a temperature and my stomach was rumbling. I came up with the idea of making oral rehydration salts (ORS) in the morning before work. ORS is used to replenish the body’s water supply. It contains salt, potassium, glucose, and a variety of other ingredients. As a result, it is an excellent remedy for dehydration.
So, I used to mix up ORS and water in a copper container and shake it up. After that, I went to work and made it a point to stay hydrated. By the time it got to 3 PM. I was drinking water from a copper bottle again, but it tasted awful. Because of this, I threw it away. The problem is that after a while, I’m left with a persistently harsh aftertaste. When I got home, I was sick to my stomach and had stomach pains. Accidentally, I observed the water’s color. The water’s color surprised me because it was a bright shade of blue.
In light of my scientific training, I quickly concluded that copper had been in contact with some ORS salts. After that, I immediately dialed up at a doctor’s office and spoke with them over the phone. He said that one should be awake and hydrated at all times. Nausea and a sour taste in my mouth persisted even after I tried the same thing. However, I drank a lot of water to flush out any toxins that could be in my system. I went to bed at midnight and woke up feeling considerably better the next day.
After consuming a mixture of water and ORS in a copper bottle, it has a horrible experience. Then, what was the cause? It’s no surprise that copper corrodes when exposed to acidic substances like lemon juice or vinegar. As a result of the reaction, copper became poisonous. Please feel free to provide any more information in the comments area.
It’s recommended that you drink plain water from a copper bottle first thing in the morning only if you have nothing else to eat. Because we eat a lot of acidic foods during the day, even if we drink water from a copper container, it might be poisonous. Drinking water from copper vessels is excellent, but I recommend doing it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
In my opinion, one should avoid combining acidic foods with water in a copper container or even combining anything else without first consulting with a professional.
